In 2008, we made the decision to add Simmental genetics to the Pleasant Hill Farms portfolio.  This decision was made for several reasons.  First, many of our commercial beef producers were looking for that added breed to inject another shot of heterosis into their rotation. Secondly, the SimAngus cross is extremely complementary with a progressive breed association behind it. 

To put it all in motion, we discovered an incredible individual to build an entire program around, SVF Above & Beyond T87.  The aquisition of LF Dream Doctor, the sire of T87, even propelled our SimAngus program to a higher gear. Our Simmental genetics are based on structural soundness, genetic consistency, maternal strength, carcass merit and superior performance.
